Manchester United premiership champions 2008-2009

Well, Manchester United may have won the premiership title but I dont think they played the best football. Today against Arsenal, not even a shot on goal in the whole game?

I think it would have been good for English football if Liverpool won the premiership title. They played better football and were the better team this season. Lucky United!

Discipline is very important in lossing weight and living a healthy lifestyle

Be disciplined, learn self-control, loosing weight is never easy but is also not very difficult especially if you learn to control yourself. It start with small things like being disciplined enough to stop eating when you start to feel full. In fact this should start from reducing your portion sizes, no matter how much you like the food. Discipline and self control is very important and will be important for your success in different things in life.

Cut out all the junk food, I know it’s very difficult and sometimes you can’t resist the sweet aroma of junk food, but always remind yourself…..self control, learn to say NO! Swap those unhealthy junk stuff with healthy alternatives.

Be disciplined enough to resist temptation. This reminds me of when my wife was pregnant with our second son. She used to crave for all sorts of junk food, tempted, Yes sometimes I was tempted. But through self control, I was able to stand by my decisions. Healthy eating is the key to healthy living.

Be disciplined enough not to cheat yourself. Stick to your healthy eating plans, balanced diet and also stick to your training exercises.

Discipline and self control, feel free to share your views on this and other posts.

Warning over Energy – boosting sports drinks

At some point we have all used energy-boosting sports drinks that give you that extra energy when exercising. But these energy-boosting sports drinks could make your teeth rot and fall out experts have warned.

High acid levels in the drinks can cause a condition known as ‘erosive tooth wear’. A study has found that the acid eats away the hard enamel coating and trickles into the tooth underneath, making it soften and weaken.

Dr Mark Wolff of New York University, told an international conference that this is the first time that citric acid in sports drinks has been linked to erosive tooth wear.

Well, from now I will stick to water on my next visit to the Gym.

Beijing 2008: What a spactecular opening ceremony!

What a show we got from the Chinese at the official opening of the 2008 Beijing Olympics games.

It was probably the most astonishing show I have ever seen. The Chinese put in a lot of effort and money (£20billion) to give us such a great show. Thousands of performers dressed in some incredible costumes, a great fireworks display combined to create an unforgettable spectacle.

In the run-up to the games, there was a lot of talk about the human rights issue in China and the amount of pollution. I remember a friend of mine telling me that the pollution is so bad that the relay team will be using glow sticks instead of the traditional button sticks.

But now it’s the times for the athletes to perform and entertain the world.

But after all this amazing display, I think London 2012 Olympic games organisers have a lot of work on their hands. Will they match the great work by the Chinese? This has been a question among Londoners ever since the opening ceremony came to an end.

“How the hell will London follow what Beijing has done”
