The two X Factor stars Laura White and Alexandra Burke have blown me away, I must admit.
Alexandra from north London has four brothers, a sister, and lives with her mum who used to sing with Soul II Soul.
Alexandra started singing at the age of five and when she was 9 yrs old she was passed the microphone at one of her mother’s gigs. Everyone loved her and from that moment onwards she was hooked on performing. Aged 12 Alexandra entered Star for a Night. She was the youngest person in the competition and was beaten to first place by Joss Stone.
Laura describes herself as a ‘soul, jazz and blues’ artist and has been singing professionally since the age of 15. Her influences include Aretha Franklin, Eva Cassidy and Lauryn Hill.
But who is going to win X Factor 2008?
I think Alexandra is so special, if she keeps it up she will win the X Factor. But something tells me it will be very close, Laura has got a great chance of winning the X Factor as well. What a performer she is!
