I feel Like a Gold Fish in a Fish Tank

My Life

The only difference is the Gold Fish is not in the tank out of choice. Some cruel individual has put it in the tank where its freedom is severely limited, just to satisfy their own passions. Just like what they did with all the animals in small enclosures, the zoos.

I feel like the tail is now waging the dog! Who is in control of what? My life is being taken over by a little monster that I created.

I feel like I’m becoming a slave to my computer. I can’t resist every opportunity I get to be on the computer. Worse with the ultra fast broadband connection at home. There are a lot of benefits from having broadband at home, but it’s easy to get hooked onto the excitement of broadband.

Surely there must be a cure for this addiction somewhere out there. I know I’m not the only one in this situation. So what’s the solution to this problem?
Even smokers, get nicotine patches and there are all these organisations helping them. Same with alcoholics, they have the Alcoholic Anonymous and thieves are sent to prison to cure their addictions to stealing. I don’t know what you would do to a partner who is addicted to adultery.

Probably I can cure my addiction by going back to Zimbabwe for sometime. At least broadband is not easily accessible like here. But I might get into depression if I go ‘cold turkey’.

And again there is no electricity. Maybe that will help me stop this habit.

LOL, I saw that coming. If you remember I had the same problem. I’m asuming your problem is worse than mine. This what I do. I allocate a time to my usage, and after my time is up, I’m off. This problem was taking over my life. If you have a better cure, please share. Is it business or pleasure, if it’s pleasure, you really need to do something!

Wil try set myself specific times to be on the net. It’s difficulty to kick out these habits. Thanks for that, Tondy.
